The TLMI Ecovillage will also feature daily sessions that address the current state of sustainability within the North American label-printing supply chain, and the most pressing issues that industry converters face today related to environmental compliance.
Each day attendees will also have the opportunity to witness baling demonstrations provided by Channeled Resources Group in the feature area. Additionally, matrix waste from exhibitors’ booths will be baled and collected by Green Bay, WI-based Convergen Energy to be made into fuel pellets after the show’s closure. The pellets are an alternative to coal with a lower carbon and overall emissions’ footprint compared to fossil fuels.
Rosalyn Bandy, TLMI dir.-Director of Environmental Strategies and Outreach, says, "We are thrilled to be featuring the TLMI Ecovillage at Labelexpo this year. We have a total of 10 sponsorship opportunities available for industry suppliers that will give a select group of companies added exposure and branding opportunities.
"Another key component of the Ecovillage will be the educational series we run daily. We’ll have industry experts and brand owners presenting and discussing container recycling, material reduction and what the sustainability priorities are for companies at the top of the value chain and how these priorities impact printed packaging vendors and industry suppliers. One of the central pillars in TLMI’s Strategic Plan is sustainability and the TLMI Ecovillage is a key initiative that supports TLMI’s environmental objectives moving forward.”
