More than 200 attendees and 25+ exhibitors are expected to participate in the technical conference devoted to roll-to-roll (R2R) processing and flexible packaging.
The program, which has been organized in partnership with the Fraunhofer Institute for Process Engineering and Packaging IVV (Freising, Germany) and the Fraunhofer Institute for Organic Electronics, Electron Beam and Plasma Technology FEP (Dresden, Germany), includes an optional tour of the Fraunhofer IVV facilities on Wednesday afternoon (June 6).
Four optional Short Courses precede the opening reception on Monday, June 4. Choices include an all-day session on Slot-Die Coating Technology, led by Mark Miller; a morning session on Roll-to-Roll Vacuum Deposition onto Flexible Substrates, led by Dr. Charles Bishop; and afternoon sessions on Winding: Improvement through Science, led by Dr. Dilwyn P. Jones, and Flexible Barrier Materials for Vacuum Insulation Panels and Electronic Applications, led by Dr. Ersa Kucukpinar.
Tuesday opens with four joint sessions: In Harmony with the Environment: New Materials and Devices for Harnessing Nature’s Energy Flows; The Business Case for Driving Standards in Flexible Electronics; Global Overview of PET and OPP Films; and Global Trends Relevant to R2R Processing.
The remainder of the schedule is organized into two tracks, Web Coating and Handling and Vacuum Web Coating. Tabletop receptions on Monday and Tuesday allow attendees to network with exhibitors and learn about technology.
