To help prepare for a successful visit, Messe Düsseldorf offers attendees from around the world an extensive online service at www.K-online.com. K will take place from Oct. 16-23 at the Fairgrounds in Düsseldorf, Germany.
Trend topics at K 2019
The experts from the K 2019 Innovation Group selected four trend topics: Plastics for Sustainable Development & Circular Economy; Digitization and the Plastics Industry 4.0; System Integration: Functionality through Material, Process and Design; and Young Talents in the Industry. Each of these themes has its own dedicated microsite on the K website with video interviews, articles and news items.
Interactive hall plan
The online interactive hall plan covers both indoor and outdoor areas. Each hall can be accessed with a simple tap and a zooming function allows focus on individual stands with information about exhibitors and their products. The new exhibitor search function includes the entire K database and displays results directly on the hall plan.
Using the My Organizer function, visitors can compile a list of the exhibitors they are interested in before they arrive. After registration, My Organizer can be used in the Ticket Shop with a personal login, although it is also available without registration. Login allows convenient use on a variety of devices (smartphones and PCs) over a long period of time. Once a list has been compiled, it can be edited or revised.
New Matchmaking Tool
The new smart Matchmaking Tool helps to find new contacts quickly and conveniently for easy networking. K 2019 trade visitors and exhibitors can search for contacts and products in advance of the show and the tool suggests suitable contacts immediately. Visitors can access the matchmaking tool at https://www.k-online.com/matchmaker2, exhibitors at https://www.k-online.com/matchmaking_exh_2 or via the K Matchmaking app on IOS and Android.
The K App
The K App makes all the important information about K 2019 available on a mobile device in English and German, providing exhibitor and product searches (also off-line), trade fair and exhibitor news, specials and the interactive hall plan as well as the My Organizer and matchmaking tools. The app is free of charge and can be downloaded via the AppStore or Google Play. Together with the K Matchmaking app, it is an ideal way to prepare for the trade fair.
The K Newsletter
The K 2019 Newsletter provides detailed information in the run-up to the trade fair, featuring exhibitors’ news, innovative products, all sorted thematically or according to application, e.g. medical engineering, vehicle construction or packaging. Subscriptions to the K Newsletter will be available at www.k-online.com starting in August 2019.
The first K was organized by Messe Düsseldorf in 1952. The trade fair is held every three years. At the last staging of K in 2016, 3,293 exhibitors from 61 countries, occupied 173,000 sq meters of net exhibit space and attracted 232,053 trade visitors - including 71% from outside Germany.
