“This additional space greatly enhances our material flow, and it will house our new B&B bagmaking line,” says Paul Unrue, Atlapac president.
The new B&B pinch-bottom line will have fold & glued bottom capability, as well as multiple closure options (press to close, hook-to-hook, etc.). Unrue adds, “We are very excited to extend this bag style to our toll converting customers. Atlapac will be the first true toll converter to operate a B&B side-gusseted, pinch-bottom machine. It brings an impressive and exciting addition to our capabilities.”
The pinch-bottom bag offers an affordable way to move into an all-plastic package (versus paper). Markets include pet foods, fertilizers and chemical products. Atlapac also will add IRC (instant rebate coupon) line for promotional callouts, so that every package manufactured in the plant can be labeled.
