The “Prayers of Sinners” label used stochastic CMYK screening for high-resolution replication of the graphics, and two silkscreen varnishes. One silkscreen is a glow-in-the-dark skeleton applied in-line under the CMYK graphic. The glow also activates with a 365-nm black light. Produced completely in-line, the label was converted R2R with offset and rotary-screen printing, varnishing, diecutting and stripping.
Among the suppliers involved were Nilpeter MO4 (printing press & cylinders), Avery Dennison (label stock), AGFA (plates), Stork (screens), Siegwerk (inks & coatings), Harper Corp. of America (anilox rolls for varnish), Kocher+Beck (dies), and CTI (glow-in-the-dark screen ink).
TLMI also awarded Best-in-Class honors in five other categories, 22 first-place awards, and 30 second-place awards in the 2019 competition.
