Born in New York City, Anderson lived in North Caldwell, NJ, and Essex Fells for most of his life before retiring 2004 to North Palm Beach. He co-founded Anderson & Vreeland, Inc., in 1961 with his friend from Williamson & Co., Howard Vreeland, where they worked together building a lifelong friendship and successful business relationship. From its humble beginning, Anderson & Vreeland grew to become a global provider of flexographic printing and prepress solutions for the graphic arts industry.
“My father’s love for the company was so strong that he often remarked that his biggest regret was retiring from it at age 80,” said his son, Joe Anderson.
Anderson was the beloved husband of the late Jeanne Anderson for 67 years, and was very proud of his three children, 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 271 Roseland Avenue, Essex Fells, NJ, at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 7, 2016.
