More than 400 attendees and 80+ exhibitors are expected to participate in the technical conference devoted to roll-to-roll (R2R) processing and flexible packaging.
“The SPE FlexPackCon partnership with the AIMCAL R2R Conference has been beneficial for attendees,” says Donna S. Davis of ExxonMobil Chemical Co., who serves as general operating chair for SPE FlexPackCon 2018. “Roll-to-roll processes such as metallizing, coating and laminating are widely used in flexible packaging, and flexible packaging is a major market for suppliers of converting technology and equipment. Our objective is to advance technology from film manufacture through packaged goods. So, there are strong synergies when everyone is together in the same room.”
The schedule features 100+ presentations organized in tracks devoted to subjects such as web coating and laminating, vacuum web coating, web handling and winding, adhesives and coatings, flexible packaging designs and market/application requirements. A popular vendor session features suppliers promoting their product, service or company in a three-minute presentation. Attendees also may register for opening day short courses. The deadline for presentation proposals is May 18. Please complete the online Call for Papers Form at https://www.aimcal.org/call-for-papers-submission.html or www.4spe.org/FlexPackCon2018. Potential exhibitors should contact Danielle Fletcher, event manager at AIMCAL (+1-803-948-9470, email@example.com).
To facilitate networking, the conference schedule includes two receptions in the Tabletop Exhibition area, the Dr. Bernard Henry Memorial 5k Fun Run, a golf scramble and local activities.
“The combined AIMCAL R2R Conference USA/SPE FlexPackCon event has generated rave reviews,” adds Danis Roy of Davis-Standard, president of AIMCAL. “In four years, it’s become THE PLACE to learn about the latest technology innovations, productivity improvements and market data, which can be put to work to strengthen bottom lines and open doors to new business."
