Menasha Packaging to expand WI plant

Menasha Packaging to expand WI plant
The paperboard-packaging converter will invest $4.2 million to expand its Hartford, WI, facility to meet increased demand and position the company for continued growth. Project completion is set for June 2011.

The current 209,000-sq-ft plant will increase its design and production capacity by 30 percent, with a 60,000-sq-ft addition to manufacturing and shipping space. A third shift will be added to its corrugators. The expansion also includes a new 7,000-sq-ft, state-of-the-art design center. The new space will enhance collaboration between structural and graphic designers, and provide a centralized space for customer meetings.

“We’ve experienced substantial growth in the past few years, especially within our graphics and display business,” said Neenah Complex operations mgr Todd Price. “The expansion will allow us to grow on all fronts and work more efficiently with our customers.”

The Hartford facility, which employs 140 hourly and 45 salaried employees, provides packaging and graphic displays specializing in design, diecutting, specialty gluing, and labeling.
