Thought I would take a minute to thank all of you who show an interest in the content of this Blog and I am sure the content of the other Blogs as well.
So to Start
I sincerely hope that each and every one of you has a wonderful 2012 and that if you have processing problems or product problems that they only happen during the week and during the day leaving your weekends and evenings free to be home with your families!
During the coming year I hope to add a few more posts each month over what I was able to do in 2011. While my travel schedule sometimes makes it difficult to reply to your questions right away I will get to them. It has been another busy year for me and the New Year is starting busy as well.

Also not to be missed is the Society of Plastics Engineers ANTEC, to be held in conjunction with NPE again in Orlando FL. Timing for the conference is a bit earlier than usual and will be from April 2 to April 4, 2012. There will be over 500 papers focused on polymer processing and polymer materials and is one of the most significant conferences on polymers each year. You can fine more details at

The best thing you can give yourself is new knowledge so be sure to find and read a good book on polymers or films and have a great 2012

Dr. Mount is an independent consultant in the coextrusion, extrusion, film, metallization and film converting industries.
